The students of 1B BAT spent some days with their partners of Torring Gymnasium in Denmark. They participated in different activities and visited some interesting places. Here you can read about their experience.
During our stay in Denmark, we visited a city called Åarhus, the second biggest city in Denmark. First we went to Den Gamle by (The Old Town), a national open-air museum of urban history and culture in Denmark through three centuries. The museum consists of more than 75 historic houses relocated from all over Denmark.
Afterwards, we visited the AROS the museum of modern art. It is famous for its rainbow panorama which is placed at the top of the building where you can see the whole city in different colors. We liked all the exhibitions because it was very different from the art we have here in Catalunya and we enjoyed the views from the panorama a lot. Once we finished our visit to the museum we had free time to discover the city by ourselves.
The day after we arrived in Torring we went to a school festival called TAG Festival which is celebrated once a year so we were lucky to be able to attend. There were concerts from local and school groups and different games we could play. There were also chilling areas and food trucks, for those who didn’t feel like playing or dancing.
The festival started around 11 am and ended at 2 am but most of us went there around 4 pm because before that we went to a pre-party with our exchange students.
In conclusion we had so much fun and we think that was a great opportunity to get to know their culture.
FOOD IN DENMARK
In Denmark we ate earlier than in Girona. We had lunch at 12 and dinner at 18h. We ate a lot of bread with differents things on top and a lot of sandwiches, especially in school. They also gave us a lot of different snacks, like liquorice and a typical Danish dessert called Flødeboller, which is a chocolate covered meringue.
